One of the latest additions to Northwest Edmonton, Hawks Ridge is a burgeoning community in the city’s “Big Lake” district. Like all Big Lake district neighbourhoods, Hawks Ridge is a nature lover’s delight. In addition to its proximity to Big Lake (waterfront views, anyone?), Hawks Ridge features 105 acres of natural area littered with walking trails, mature trees, scenic vantage points, wetlands and more. But that’s far from all. Hawks Ridge’s stylish detached and semi-detached homes, combined with easy access to amenities, make it the ideal neighbourhood for active families who want to be near it all.
Did you know? The Big Lake Area Structure Plan was established in 1991. Despite its approval over 30 years ago, development did not begin until the late 2000s. Today, the district encompasses five modern communities: Haws Ridge, Kinglet Gardens, Pintail Landing, Starling, and Trumpeter.
Development in Hawks Ridge began in 2010, with emphasis on low and medium-density home styles, including front-attached garage homes, laned homes and duplexes:
Choosing a new front-attached home in Hawks Ridge offers many benefits for homebuyers. These homes come with various modern features such as open-concept floor plans, gourmet kitchens with top-of-the-line appliances, spacious bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, and a double attached garage.
Hawks Ridge laned homes are ideal for young and growing families. In addition to contemporary layouts and floor plans, they include high-end finishes and energy-efficient systems. These models typically have three to four bedrooms (including a primary suite) and ample storage. Moreover, with a detached double garage located at the rear of the home, homeowners benefit from plenty of front yard space and curb appeal.
Hawks Ridge duplexes feature an average of 1,500 square feet of living space (or more with a finished basement), three bedrooms and three bathrooms. In addition to ultra-modern features and finishes, Haws Ridge duplexes also offer single or double attached garages and private yard space. They also present a more affordable alternative to many detached styles with many of the same comforts.
Average Listing Price in Hawks Ridge: $571,000

Despite Hawks Ridge’s peaceful and semi-secluded setting, residents enjoy access to convenient commercial amenities in the neighbouring community of Trumpeter. Homeowners also have the best of both worlds when it comes to Edmonton and St. Albert amenities, including shops, services, restaurants, recreation and entertainment venues and much more:

Though Hawks Ridge remains tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, it is also conveniently located near several major commuter routes, including Highway 16 (Yellowhead Trail) and the northwest Anthony Henday. Transit remains limited in the area but is expected to be more accessible as community development progresses.
